NMR is used for a variety of research projects: H/D exchange, Relaxation measurements, binding-induced peak shifts, and full NMR structure solution. The SCSB NMR Center is located in its own two-story building on the University of Texas Medical Branch campus in Galveston, Texas. Called The Dockside Building for good reason, the NMR Center is literally situated directly waterside and has spectacular views of the Galveston Harbor. The Dockside Building (building 73 on the campus map) contains a Varian Inova 600 MHz, and Varian NMR System 750 and 800 MHz magnets. A wide selection of homonuclear and multinuclear probe head are available, including 5, 8 and 10 mm probes. The 800 MHz magnet is equiped with a cold probe.
